2008 EVENTS CALENDAR
Johns Homestead Clean Up Day
Saturday, June 7th
9:00 am to 12:00 Noon
Please park at Rehoboth Baptist Church and walk to the property. Dave Bulter from Dekalb County Greenspace Dept. will be there to talk about the status of their work to date.
Be sure to wear appropriate clothing and gloves. You may bring your own tools; loppers, rakes, shovels and trash bags will be provided.
Tucker Civic Association and others in the community will be joining us so invite your neighbors and friends to help support this effort.
Johns Homestead is one of the original properties that has pre Civil War history.

We hope that you enjoy these popular community events. They each are a wonderful success each year and we thank the committees and volunteers for their dedication to producing great events like these that are a positive benefit to the society as well as to the Tucker/Northlake community.
Special thanks to Tucker First Baptist Church for allowing us to use a portion of their parking lot for the plant swap.
Tucker Historical Society also hosts a Children's Art & Craft table at the Main Street Holiday Festival each December. Look for us this year on Tuesday, December 2nd from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Main Street is closed to traffic so Santa can make an appearance, you can listen to carolers, roast marshmallows and do some holiday shopping with your family in the Main Street shops.
