2011 EVENTS CALENDAR
Browning Courthouse Day
Saturday, October 15,
2011, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in front of Tucker Recreation Center 4898 LaVista
Road. Everyone is invited to this free event.
Historic Browning Courthouse is the
only standing building of its kind in the county. The old courthouse has
stood as a prominent Tucker landmark since 1860 when it was built and
established as a DeKalb County circuit court for Browning's Militia District
#572, long before our area was known as Tucker.
In 1988, the courthouse, now a small museum, was dedicated to Tucker's past,
present and future. Join your friends and neighbors to learn more about
Tucker's history from the early 1820's to today. Historical society
members will share archival photos, material and family stories about life in
Tucker over the past generations.

We hope that you enjoy our community events. They each are a wonderful success each year and we thank the committees and volunteers for their dedication to producing great events that are a positive benefit to the society as well as to the Tucker/Northlake community.
